2020 in Photos

This was a yeas where I took my photography on another level.

I noticed that I’ve improved noticeably in the quality and consistency of the images I’ve produced. I still feel like most of what I do is shit and that I do NOT spend nearly enough time shooting, but when all is said and done, I’m happy with what this year brought to me photographically speaking. This is a brief preview of the images I’ve produced over the year.

2020 started with resolution to work on longer-term personal photography projects. This lead me (amongst other things) to chase many sunsets in London.

And wondered some nights in order to find interesting illuminations and compositions. This is the Alexandria estate at night.

February was nice - I managed to see Lara for a first time in a while.

But then March struck us a blow - COVID19 marked the rest of the year pretty much unbearable.

We got used to the new normal - grocery deliveries

and face coverings that only became mandatory in the UK around June.

The next few moths went by quickly and somewhat … unnoticed. We started walking every day, and discovered St.John’s Wood’s park with all its squirrels.

And I’ve faced the first anxiety issues with the looming NeurIPS deadline in May.

June was a month of protests. I’ve covered the Pride and BLM protests in London

And exploring my new neighbourhood in Ealing, London.

July has been been marked by a surprise trip to the lovely Mexico.

Late August and September, I managed to sneak a few days out for the bank holidays with new friends we’ve made.

and made the better friends with the existing ones.

And in October we started to fight again
